Whole House Repiping Services in the Conejo Valley
Whole-house repiping is an incredible undertaking. It costs a ton of money and takes time—quite justifiable reasons to postpone the project as long as possible.
However, an old and outdated plumbing system could cost you more than you think. It could be leaking high doses of dangerous substances (like lead) into your drinking water, posing serious health risks for your family. Leaky plumbing could mean thousands of gallons of water wasted each year. But the good news is you can always use the help of a reputable plumbing contractor to overhaul your plumbing right without breaking your pockets.

If you’re not sure whether repiping your home is necessary or not, here are some signs to watch for:
One of the prominent signs you need whole-house repiping is when your plumbing starts suffering lingering issues. The repair costs can add up quickly. Upgrading the entire network means long-term peace of mind and will cost less than what you would spend over the years on plumbing repairs.
If you notice multiple, simultaneous plumbing leaks or several leaks in quick succession, it is a sign that pipes are corroding and may need replacing soon. If left unattended, leaks can cause costly damage to walls and ceilings, not to mention dramatic spikes in your water bills.
Low water pressure can stem from clogged pipes or mineral deposits, or rust in your pipes. It can also be something to do with your home’s main line. You will need a plumbing contractor to ascertain and resolve the exact cause of the problem.
Discolored water isn’t simply unattractive; it indicates mineral deposits and corrosion in your pipes. There are chances your water will taste and smell odd, too.
If your home is about six decades old, there is a likelihood your pipes are made of lead or galvanized steel.
Lead pipes have been found to pose serious health risks. The metal can leach into your drinking water, putting your family at risk of contamination. Galvanized steel pipes degrade over time, allowing corrosion to creep into the plumbing network. The outcome is rust buildup in the pipes, restricted water flow, and possible water contamination.
Undoubtedly, repiping a house is quite extensive as it involves replacing virtually all the water pipes. It is not something you can do yourself as you can risk causing damage to your home and plumbing. It, therefore, makes sense to invest in a reputable whole-house repiping service.
When you hire Conejo Services for a whole-house repipe, our team starts with a comprehensive inspection of your plumbing. The evaluation helps decide if we should repair your pipes, repipe a single section, or overhaul your entire plumbing.
Next, our plumbers secure a plumbing permit from your local building and safety department and recommend the best plumbing materials for your project. After which, you get all your questions answered and receive an upfront estimate.
Only after you approve the estimate and are satisfied with the project brief can our team proceed with repiping your house. Expect our repipe specialists to shut off your mainline temporarily. But we strive to complete the largest portion of the project during the day to ensure minimal disruption to your routines and water supply in the evening.
We have equipped our plumbing crew with state-of-the-art equipment to locate the exact location of pipes behind walls. Accessing the pipes will involve drilling into your drywall. Once the new pipes are in, our technicians will patch and repaint your drywall to its original state and clean up any mess.
A whole-house repipe can take 2-6 days, primarily depending on the size of your home. The bigger your home, the longer time the project will take. Sometimes, only partial repiping in specific areas of a home is required. That could take just a few hours, meaning minimal disruption to your routine.
Another important factor is accessibility. The more accessible your pipes are, the faster our repipe specialists will complete the job.
When repiping your house, you and your plumber must determine the best material for your new pipes. Below are the top three options:
Cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) pipes are the new kid in town in commercial and residential plumbing. They are more flexible and cost-effective than copper pipes. That means they are easy to install around walls and in smaller drywall openings and do not require joint fittings.
Still, they are less likely to crack or burst under icy conditions. However, PEX pipes are less durable than copper and are more vulnerable to sunlight damage.
Copper must be the oldest plumbing material currently in use and has proven its reliability for decades. Copper pipes are longer-lasting (but costlier) than PEX pipes. More durability means they can withstand earthquake shocks. Also, these pipes are corrosion-resistant (unlike galvanized steel pipes) and are less likely to harbor contaminants. One drawback to copper pipes is that they can crack or burst under freezing temperatures.
Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) pipes are safe for transporting drinking and hot water while offering commendable resistance to water chemicals. However, they can suffer damage from earthquakes, unlike their copper counterparts.

Service response was prompt. The electrician, Owen, is knowledgeable and thorough, addressing an unknown issue that saved us from a major loss had it not been resolved. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received at Conejo Services. I highly recommend them and have already done so to my neighbors.Posted on Google![]()

I luckily found Conejo Plumbing on Yelp to service our tankless hot water heater, after my original plumber reneged on my lifetime contract. The plumber “Dier” was early for our appointment and after pleasantries was eager to solve the intermittent ignition issues we were experiencing. After an inspection it was noted that the igniter and flame rods had carbon and rust built up. Instead of soaking a customer and replacing our unit a simple service call got us back up and running. I can’t thank Conejo and “Dier” for the prompt service call and their professionalism. Suffice it to say Conejo will be my first call for plumbing issues and I look forward to seeing them in the future for HVAC calls as well. If you’re in need of a professional plumber I highly recommend Conejo as your first choice.+0Posted on Google![]()

At this moment in time, I am very pleased. My air conditioning is working right on the day that I needed it to work. Both workers Fernando and I think Andre were efficient , polite and thorough. The only reason I hesitate is that I had a bad experience with another HVAC company and I just watching to make sure that AC works as efficient as it should. I do thank you for your immediate responses and showing up on time.Posted on Yelp![]()

I live in a condo and have been trying to figure out where a slow leak was stemming from. Craig McConnell was incredibly helpful, thorough and knowledgeable and helped me to rule out every possibility of it stemming from my unit. I now have what I need to move forward with my HOA. I couldn't have asked for more excellent service! Thank you!!Posted on Google![]()
